West Liberty Elementary School Reviews

This school is an excellant choice if you must live within the Pittsburgh City limits. I have 2 children that attend, both get excellant grades and the teachers are very helpful when something comes up that they need help with. It is a very nurturing environment, the teachers are creative in offering interesting coursework. Unfortunately I am not sure how well the school will be able to fare after some of the inner city students get transferred, time will tell.

My son is in Kindergarten and I have found the experience to be nothing but positive for the both of us. I was very hesitant to send my son to a Pittsburgh Public School but was told by a teacher and administrator not associated with the school many wonderful things so I decided to give it a go. He has a wonderful teacher and has been enjoying the time spent there and learning a lot. The school does have a list of rules and regulations as one would expect in today's day and age that help protect the children's safety as well as teach behavior expectations. For us, so far so good. Not certain how I will feel as the children get into the higher grades but to date this has been a very pleasant experience.

My child is having a very negative experience at this school. We find that it is more like an army camp than a school. The teachers and principal are very negative and not very friendly with the children. I also feel that there is inadequate physical education programs since they do not have a playground. We will be moving and removing my daughter from this school as soon as possible!
