Sterrett Classical Academy Reviews

The school is horrible. I'm a student, in my second year at the school, and it's dreadful. The kids, and teachers are always unhappy and the total overall feeling of the school is bad. We never learn anything and just sit there bored for period after period. The teachers don't teach much which is a waste of school. This year has been the far worst year yet. The school gives 'lunch detentions' for little things, like chewing gum of forgetting homework. Theirs not many after school clubs that you can join if you're not into sports. My advice: go to Frick.

This School is great, but it is a little small and there are some fights, but it's a very good school in all.

very small and intimate, the teachers can get to know the students, they aren't anonymous faces. the academics are rigorous enough for my standards, my child works harder because he has a mild learning disability, but everyone works well with him. I (like many others) ahve real problems with the everyday/connected math curiculum, but that's not the school's fault. they require monthly research essays and have a speeling/vocabulary program that teaches college level terms. These are programs that my other child's middle school (also in the Pgh. system) didn't require. If I could do it over again I'd send her there.
