“As a new parent at Beechwood I find it to be a fine school. The teaching staff is helpful and really loves the kids. The school regularly incourages parent participate in both the classrooms and for school wide events. As a new parent to the school I also attend The BPFA meetings. The women of this group are open, friendly, and big hearted. They hold General Membership meetings monthly, once in the morning and again at night. This is to accommodate the various schedules of our parents. Currently, the turnout is low, but is growing with time. The school offers a chess club, after-school intramural sports, field trips, and 5th grade camp. “The overall teachings are just below avarage. Teachers do not interact with the parents very well either. Unless your child is in kindergarden and has Mrs. Bova. Sorry it will be her last year. There is a new Principal, very strict and keeps well order. Warning, stay away from the PTA, what a battle from this parents view.”
