Carlynton Junior/Senior High School Reviews

This school has so many problems and teachers play favorates too much

I have 3 children who have graduated from this school. The teachers and administration are at the upper end of the scale in quality education. It is a close knit community where many successful graduates have come from.

A great small school where you can excel and be involved with everything you want.

Carlynton is a very good, very small school. Academic standards are high, there are plenty of extra curricular activities, and classes are small. Students and teachers develop close relationships. Choral music , instrumental music and other arts are appropriately valued.

I'm writing this as a former student. I've recently transferred out of Carlynton. I never felt safe at the highschool. When a student is picked on, the teachers do very little about it. There is a good chorus program. Mrs. Lear, the teacher is one of the best I've met. Club day is once a month starting in Novemeber. I never felt we had enoughtime to do anything. If you compete on a varsity team you still have to take gym classes. The gym class are co-ed. The 7th and 8th graders have gym everyday for a 9 week period. Every year it seems like a few more teachers retire. So now there are more new teachers there every year.
