ETHS is not a bad school at all the teacher was determined to get us out of school with a great education so the majority of us that stayed in the surroundings that we did would have hope and go to college. Even though we did have security there they were also there to push and do good. Majority of the student body comes from low-income single family homes (as did I) and deal with tramatic experiences the likes of which most have never seen. Inner city life is no picnic, however I can vouch for the hard work and dedication that the teachers put in to strive to help these students in everyway possible. If your looking for a top notch school with model students, give it up because you will never find it. However if you are looking for a school with determined pupils and hard-working teachers look no furthur then ETHS. There is really no control over the students. My student goes to that school and everyday she come home that is always a talk about a fight. There are even teachers getting hurt by students. One of the schools most special features is the cultural diversity. Anyone who comes to this school will find this out. Students are well behaved. You would think this was a suberban school by the behavior. The college prepartory classes are amazing. So are the extracurricular activities. You will find nerds,and jocks happy at East Technical High School!”
