Detroit High School for Technology Reviews

I was a former teacher at this school. This was my first teaching job and I have to say that working here was a dream. I had a great crew of students and I had the freedom to immerse them in a truly technology based curriculum. The staff, administration, and parents worked hand in hand to provide some great educational opportunities for our students. That resulted in one of the highest graduation & college acceptance rates in the district, rivaling Cass & Renaissance. DPS's finances made a lot of us face some tough choices. Nonetheless, Iooking back, D-Tech was a great school!

As a former substitute at this school, I found the student and teacher behavior to be appalling. There is almost no discipline, and the administrators did nothing about it. Most of the kids who go here are good kids from good families, but the lack of discipline for teachers and students is reflected in the classroom. I felt very bad for the few students who were actually trying to get an education in this environment.
