Stuckey Elementary School Reviews

Have been at Stuckey for three years and my son has fit in just great and stayed a straight a student. Glad the redistricting came about. Have met a lot of very good friend

We too had a AWFUL expiernce at Stuckey. Very unorgainized.... Never have I seen a school ran like this it is sad. My child was straight A's until having to come here because of the redistricting. Hopefully someone of higher authority sees

My son has went to Stuckey since Kindegarten and is getting ready to enter the 5th grade. I have LOVED this school and the parent involvement it offers with the children. He has always had great teachers that throughout hardships in different years have went above and beyond to help my child, by giving him the attention he needed.

I have a 3rd grader at Stuckey currently. He has been there since kindergarten. I really haven't had any problems so far. I do agree that the restructuring of the district has made it a little more cramped. My child loves school so I am not having an education problem. I think that there after school care could be a little more organized. I think that as a full time working mom that the school could be a little more informative. I think that they need to due something about the PTO so that more parents would want to go to the meetings. It seems very clicky and unwelcoming.

My child has been attending Stuckey since kindergarten. Some of his teacher's have been good but for the most part they have not. The school is too small the classes too large. I do not see how any student can get a decent education. My child used to like school until this year now he gets so upset that he does not even want to come to school. His grades have been a reflection of this overcrowding. We are thinking about pulling him and placing him in a different school. This school is falling fast and I am not sure if the staff is just overwhelmed or just does not care but overall our experience has been less than favorable.

I must say that I feel Stuckey elementary school is doing great things. This is the second year that I had my child in stuckey (middle graduated last year) and my youngest one is still there. My experience with this school and the staff both years has been outstanding. The teachers as well as the adminstrative staff that I have had communication with is wonderful. I have noticed this year that there is more control over the way the children are dismissed and it is a wonderful thing. I watch how the staff right down to the principal has assigned buses to ensure the children board the buses safely. There is no longer that traffic congestion around the school like last year. There are many wonderful things going on in this school. Most importantly I see that the teachers care and notice when a child starts to slip, hats off

Wow, there is not enough space here for me to tell you how we feel about Stuckey. 'Bad' is a serious understatement, 'unsafe' another understatement, 'yelling' yes, another understatement. I have never seen an elementary school with so much yelling and so little supervision. Too many kids in such a small school, teachers dont have time to help students, kids are not allowed to enjoy a break, new equipment on the playground for a year and still not allowed to play on it, what else...like I said, not enough space to tell you how much we dislike this school. We too will be homeschooling now. My kids have always loved school....until the went to Stuckey.

Our experience with Stuckey has been less than favorable. The classes are so over crowded my children cant even move to get things out of their desks, they have not received help when needed and for the first time they have received failing grades. This school is a mess. The entire district redesign is a mess. My children have been 'left behind' and no one cares to do a thing about it. We will be starting a home schooling program until we can get out of Redford.

Class sizes are too large. No way children can get good education. Classes are out of control. Even lines outside building of children waiting to get into school in morning is total craziness. Have seen 2 fights break out in 3 months. I won't let my children line up in morning wait for everyone to go in before i let them out of car because i fear they'll accidently get hurt. No supervision. School is small, run down.

the school is very good except for the high class size.My daughter is in 5 grade and is one of only 8 kids that have been put into a split class with 4th graders. this is in my view very hard for the kids becouse they are learning things from last year and the teachers attention is with the majority. The school board is no help.
