Our parent center provides on going emergency services and outreach provisions for families in and around the Carstens School and it's surrounding community. The children's academic and personal growth is the top priority of all of the staff. The principal is an outstanding leader who always puts the children first, enlists the support of the community & others, and communicates effectively with parents. The teachers creatively motivate students academically, but care about students personally as well. They clearly work as a cooperative team to help all students -- not just 'their own.' Carstens has an outstanding after-school program that includes academic courses and tutoring as well as optional activities such as karate, 'step' and drum corp.
