Ann Arbor Open at Mack School Reviews

Our son is in first grade and our daughter is in fourth. They are benefitting immensely from the multi-grade classrooms. The math buddies and reading buddies have also made school very fun. The self-esteem and confidence they've gained when being paired with a younger child has also been valuable. My daughter looks forward to selecting her 'focus studies' each year.

We have two children attending A2 Open. Both have been enrolled since kindergarten and are thriving academically and socially. Program, Staff, and Students are all exceptional!

Our son is in eighth and our daughter in 3rd grade. Both have attended since kindergarten. We've all been very happy with the quality of programs, music program, level of parent involvement and leadership of Ann Arbor Open.

Teachers and students/parents choose to be part of this school and it shows! As a parent, I am amazed at how intelligent, knowledgeable, and hard-working the teachers are. The principal is fantastic. The 'open' school philosophy is well-implemented.

I loved Ann Arbor Open. I feel I was able to work at my own pace with support from teachers. The teachers really care about their students! I spent some time in traditional classrooms while in elementary school and the open school won hands down for quality and support. I always felt right at home.

I was with this school from K-6 and I loved it! The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and fun. I learned so much and I had a good time while doing it. The teachers have joy in doing their job which inspires the students to do well. The parents are so involveled and help out with all types of activities. While going to school here I got to go on many exiciting and educational field trips. This school is unique and I hope to send my children here. I would recomend it to anyone!

I did my student teaching here. It was the most rewarding experience of my life. I would love to teach here. I'm all in favor of the learning style and relaxed atmosphere. Students here are the brightest that I've ever come across.

Currently (04) I'm in 8th grade at AAO, and I am loving every second of it. I had transfered to this school only this year so it's my first and final year. I absolutly love everything about this school. From the teachers, to the way of doing things, to the classes, and to my peers. I now have the freedom that other schools seldom allow, and I am completely free to be myself here. I will be quite sad to leave at the end of this year, but I know that former students are welcome back at any time during the day to wander, talk to their former teachers, and just hang out. This is deffinitly the best way to spend the last year before high school.
