Warrendale Charter Academy Reviews

Warrenadale was an excellent experince. i attende Warrendale for only one year (8th grade) and i learned so much. this a great preperation school. i had good times. Warrendale is filled with tons of postive staff, the teachers are very helpful. I just think there couldnt; be no matter . My little brother also have attended warrendale since kindegarten and nows he's in third grade my brother is super smart. He loves to be at school. Every since he began he loved his experence. we both learn so much . Thanks to our great school

Warrendale is a great school for the lower grades. I have 3 children there and it was a great experience when they were in kindergarten and 1st grade. As they move up in the grades, I have notice that the teachers are trying to be more friends to the students then teachers. Also, Ms. brown is NEVER available. So if you do send your child there, i recommend you get close to the teacher otherwise it may be a bad experience for you.

My grandson attends Warrendale Academy and my experience with Warrendale is impressive. The Principal is great and I love the way she interact with the teachers, students and parents. I love the way the teachers teach the students. The number of honor students is fantastic. I have nothing but praises for this school. All I can say is,keep up the great work.

My son has attended warrendale over the past 4 years and I have watched this school go from having a long waiting list to the school soliciting parents to tell their friends about the school to boost enrollment. The children at warrendale are getting a substandard education and something desparately needs to be done about it. I got a better education from the Detroit Public Schools twenty years ago and that's sad.

Warrendale was one of the best things to ever happen to me. It was,and still is, a great school with great teachers and lots of activities. If I could i would still be attending Warrendale today. I love the school so much that I sometimes that I had flunked 8th grade, but Warrendale prepared me so well that couldn't have been possible.

Warrendale is a good school and well on its way to becoming a great school. They have a great team of teachers that work together to strive for the best intrest of the students.Ms.Brown has made an attempt to communicate better with parents and staff.Kudos to her for her efforts. There isn't a whole lot of parental involvement, but the parents that are involved do an awesome job!If more parents would get involved ,rather than constantly complain from the side lines Warrendale would thrive and become a better place and the #1 school.Yes I would recommmend Warrendale to anyone who wants their child to thrive and succeed.

Here are Warrendale we are one our way to becoming an outstanding school. We have a team of teachers that are dedicated to the students that walk thru our building each and every morning. Each day, the grade level team of teachers meets to discuss how we can further advance each student on an individual basis. There is a chance for every student to join a club, team, or comity after school to further their enrichment. I would with out hesitation recommend Warrendale to you and any one you know that is looking for a school that will make a difference in your child s life.

Warrendale Academy is a great place to work. The teachers work hard to ensure the success of students. The parents are caring and supportive of the school and staff. The students are respectful and hard working. The staff at Warrendale do their best and work hard everyday. They bring a positive attitude. Ms. Brown works hard to help the school, students, and parents. National Heritage Academy treats teachers like professionals and does everything posible to help us grow as professionals.

Warrendale is an excellent school! I heard that they have helped students for the past few years so I enrolled my child. I am very pleased. The teachers are firm but care about the students. I really love the way that they discuss issues with my child each day. I'm a new parent who has moved my child to this school to get the education she is getting. The building is clean and the hallways are quiet when I visit. I would recommend this school to my friends and family. Thanks Ms. Brown and keep up the good work!

Warrendale was a great school under the leadership of Ms. Williams, it has only gotten worse since she left. The current principle Ms. Brown is a poor leader, she also lacks communication skills. The elementary school is much better that the middle school. The middle school is not preparing the children for high school they are not getting the tools nor the resources to prepare them for high school. I also find that the principal just simply doesn't care.

I believe that Warrendale is a good school. Yes, I agree that discipline is a problem, Ms. Brown must do better in this area. My child just completed 6th grade and two of the teachers were outstanding! Mrs. Mallett and Miss. Thuss were great! Both teachers had high expectations and respect from the students. If you want to send your child to a school with teachers who are there to educate then choose Warrendale!

As a parent of two children at Warrendale I find that the lower elementary teachers are phenomenal and sincerely care. My daughter is going into 2nd grade she loves school as well as her teacher. My 5th grader no longer likes school, I believe it is because of the teacher. The principal is harsh, cruel, and unsupportive. Warrendale does let discipline get out of control. I would send my children to Warrendale for kindergarten and 1st grade without a doubt it is the best educational foundation you can get in Detroit for your children.

I like Warrendale and so do my children. This is our sixth year at this school and yes my children are excelling. The Principal is only one person with several people in positions to assist, not everything that happens good or bad is the Principals fault. Parental Involvement is key and always welcomed at Warrendale Academy.

Warrendale seems to be getting worse as time goes on. The principle and administration does not follow through on discipline. It takes a lot to get suspended. Students get away with a lot. These students disrupt the education of the students who really want in learn. Teacher turn over is very high and teachers tend to quit in the middle of the year. The principle tends to ignore the parents.

Warrendale is under constant dictatiorship by the Principal. If you have children that don't excel this school may work for you. They don't have any benefits for children who excel. Besides using their NWEA Scores & Meap to make Warrendale appear better than it is. I am concerned, involved parent for 5 years here seeking a school to promote excellence, leadership and challenges for my straight A student daughter. Good Luck if you select this school parents. Extra curricular activites are for 5th grade and above so keep that in mind.

I am a current parent of two students at Warrendale and as we speak I am looking for a new school. I am not impressed with the principal. It's a shame that it takes so much to get in touch with her and when you do it feels as if your problem hasn't been solved. I don't feel that the work is challenging enough or that it will prepare my children for the world. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone.

I am a first year parent at Warrendale Academy. In researching schools and speaking with the Principle I thought Warrendale was the best choice. I've learned that I made a poor decision. My child's teacher is the best however, the Administration needs a fine tuning. I've never seen a school where the principle does not feel that communication with parents is important. My child had health issues and the staff is not trained to handle children with special needs. I attempted to contact the principle and have yet to receive a response. In addition, the staff including secretaries are aware of Mrs. Browns lack of responsibility and leadership. My child is learning and loves school however my child and 6 other family members are withdrawing our children. A decision is based solely on lack of leadership within the administration. The principle is not responsive. Don't believe me, leave her a message.

I feel that Warrendale is a Great school to send your child to. I myself was a student a warrendale, so I know how it works. The staff is great. I have made a very good bond with the teachers like: Miss. A, Mrs.Patterson, Miss.Morgan and many others. This School cares for its students and should your #1 pick. Though I have graduated from Warrendale I wish i was back.

I would just like to say that overall Warrendale has made great strides academically over the past five years. It is a great challenge for a school to be successful when they have such a high teacher turn over each year. Thanks you to Mrs. Saferian, Mrs. Patterson, Mrs. Galgoczy and some others who have been dedicated for many years to the students at Warrendale!

Warrendale is a good school but like most schools they do have there share of problems. Warrendale needs to have more parents getting involed in there child's education and activities. They middle school students don't have a fare chance of becoming successful high school students.Sadly to say we've losted alot of good teachers due to a change in administration which was totally uncalled for and a miss mangement on the administrator's part. The newer teacher's need to have more training when it comes to averaging out grades on the computer it's really sad that you have to fight to get your child's grade corrected due to the lack of knowlege and training, which I hold the principal Mrs. Brown fully responsible for doing. They need to have more teachers like Mrs. Swan, Mrs. Patterson,Ms.A to name a few. Explore your opition first before you choose Warrendale Academy

Warrendale offers a quality education to its students. It is part of National Heritage Academies. NHA focuses on morals as well as manners both in and out of the school. At times it lacks organization but the current principal is trying to fix this.

This school has taught my child not to like school. It's taught her that teachers do not care, it's taught her to disrespect, and it's taught her that the teachers can do whatever they want and get away with it. The principle does not care what's going on as long as he gets his bonus at the end of the year.

I believe the school is moving in a positive direction guided by the Principal. I would love to see more Parent envolvement. I believe that would make our school be the best possible in the area.

Warrendale Academy is a great school. The teachers are very dedicated. My son always has homework to do, I have also sat in class with him. In observing his classroom the teachers have control over their classrooms they have a full day of learning. The school promotes a safe and respectable environment for staff and students. They encourage parent involvement. I would recommend this to everyone.
