Eden Christian Academy Reviews

My daughter went to Eden for one year because we moved out of state. We miss Eden so much! The staff was wonderful, very caring, and all God fearing people! Our experience was great! The teachers were very eager to help my child, and always asking if they could help us in any way! I would recommend any parent to send their child to Eden! I also was a substitute teacher at Eden and the students were great! Everyone was nice (staff and students) I never had any problems! The teachers were very helpful.

Terrific school academically, but a little heavy handed when it comes to other areas. The teachers genuinely care for the students and do provide a positive experience for the children. The administration leaves something to be desired in my opinion. They are not exactly forthright and clearly try to put spin on what can be perceived as unpopular or controversial policies. I guess we expected more from this organization. The student / teacher ration is nowhere near the level indicated by this website. My children experience more like a 22 to 1, not a 9 to 1. They will tell you what your children can and cannot eat, wear, and say. Also, be prepared to fundraise, fundraise, fundraise! Not a week goes by when they do not solicit funds in some manner, either by selling items or flat out asking for donations.

Excellent education and christian environment children attending x 11 years good friends-excellent sports overall good experiences

I am a junior at the upper school. I am on my 13th year at Eden. I really love it! Yes, we could start more extracirriculars, but we are small and growing. Yes, there are cliques, but tell me where they aren't. Yes, we all love our teachers. This year has been great so far. Everyone is talking about it and everyone at the upper school really is enjoying this year. We are in harder classes than public schools. It is true. We are challenged academically and spiritually in every class we take. Eden has been great for me and great for other people as well.

High quality academic program. Christian principles. Well-rounded educational rpogram. Very flexible in working with parents.

Not only were the academics substandard, we found this school not to have a Christian environment as we anticipated. The cliques are a major problem. The older students (Jr. and what Sr. high they have) present themselves to be more worldly in their values than we ever anticipated. Sad to say, but this Christian school has went down hill since the departure of the previous headmaster.

From what the administration tells you, the students are testing 3 to 4 grade levels above their actual grade, I am not sure how to verify that fact. Violin and piano lessons are available during school, as well as other instruments. Sports are limited to Soccor, and basketball but do start as early as Kindergarten. The school requires at least 15 hours of vol. hours or they will charge you for each hour you are short. The class sizes are small, and some parents are too involved in the every day activities. The Wexford campus could use better security, they have locks on doors that are rarely locked.

My child is in her third year at Eden. Eden is very close knit like one big family. I could see the difference immediately compared to the public schools in how the kids conduct themselves. The classroom sizes are small, there is lots of parent participation and the they have a very strong and proven curriculum. I have the advantage of providing my child with a Grade A quality education in a school that puts God first in everything they do. It just reconfirms the values that my child learns at home and church. I get all this at a fraction of the price that some of those other prestigious private schools would cost. Oh and did I mention..the school campuses are beautiful.I did my homework and I would invite any other interested parent in doing the same.
