St. Ignatius (Cleveland) muscled its way back into the rankings with an 8-7 playoff defeat of then-No. 18 Glenville (Cleveland). The win enabled the Wildcats to avenge their only loss. One other team made a significant jump as St. Xavier (Louisville) won 56-0 at Covington Catholic (Park Hills, Ky.) and advanced three spots to No. 19. More
