Nine on Nine a ten in Pittsburgh
Having received a plethora of local and national culinary excellence awards, Pittsburgh's Nine on Nine Restaurant is a true gem in the heart of a bustling city. Located in Pittsburgh's Cultural District, Nine on Nine is an upscale establishment with an elegant-yet-laid back feel. Nine on Nine is the perfect place to take a dinner date or business associates for a meal that will truly impress.
The interior at Nine on Nine is simple yet distinct-- white tablecloths and an almost-serene decor of blue tones and elegant drapery. Its minimalist design is perfect for bringing all eyes to the real lure: the food.
Nine on Nine boasts a starter menu that is as chic as it gets: filet on filet, tartare and carpaccio with rosemary aioli, capers, arugula, potato chips and a quail egg; Kona-cure Wahoo with fennel, apple, red onion and jalapeno pepper; and escargot with campanelle pasta, zucchini, chanterelle mushrooms and melted gorgonzola.
Entrees include indulgent recipes that utilize only the highest-quality ingredients. Roasted chicken breast with anna potato, cauliflower, almonds, apple and maitake mushrooms; Moroccan spiced tuna with curry yogurt, golden raisins, quinoa and medley of fresh vegetables; Strip steak with black beans avocado, heirloom tomato salad, mole and cilantro; and wild salmon crusted in mustard seeds and served with German potato salad, French beans and lemon buerre blanc.
Be sure to save room for some of Nine on Nine's fabulous dessert options. Berry consomme with goat cheese panna cotta, berry granola, thyme and coconut sorbet and ricotta fritters with lemon curd, blackberry sauce, coffee custard and sambuca lemon sorbet are just some of the tempting choices on Nine on Nine's dessert menu.
Business dress is required and reservations are appreciated and always helpful.
