Biography

I was born in DuBois, Pennsylvania in 1970 and studied art at The Pennsylvania State University. While at Penn State, I started working with plywood as a canvas, mainly because I couldn't afford to buy large pieces of canvas. I instantly fell in love with the way the plywood adds an element of unpredictability to the texture and lines of a painting.   
I am currently a graphic designer and try to paint and draw while my two boys (Philip, age 3 and Nicholas, age 1) are sleeping.  This doesn't allow much time for art but you do what you have to. I am building a portfolio of plywood pieces to show this year and hope it will be a success.
